If you have seen a Butterfly or Moth you can't put a name to then post a photo of it here and we'll try and identify it for you.

Hi all, Could anyone shed some light on this little fella, as he had hitched a lift on my rucksack I have no idea where he could have come from. Thankyou IAC.

Hi Ian, It's a Geometrid of some sort, but don't know which one. Do you still have it? If so, try rearing it through. You'll need to guess its foodplant so try a selection of dock, knot-grass, dandelion, clover, sallow, grass and oak leaves.

. Not that I'd know what a lappet was!
