Figure of Eighty at Dunbar

Caught a Figure of Eighty in the trap this morning. My moth book describes the range of this species as further south. Has it now expanded into the Lothians since the book was published? A friend trapping in Northumberland had his first Figure of 80 there this year.

That's interesting John. Do you have Aspen nearby? One was caught at Musselburgh on 12th June by Colin Davison. Let's hope a few more appear.

No aspen in the near vicinity (we're surrounded by arable fields). I understand there was a record of 3 in Northumberland last month. The Moths Count website shows no records for Lothians and a few for Borders.
