This slender moth turned up in my trap last night in our garden in the south of Edinburgh. We reckon it's a male Anomalous, and is an unexpected find here. Certainly the first one we've caught.

A very nice record especially for a garden. May have come from Blackford Hill possibly and there is one Pentlands record in Midlothian. There must be more there, but it is very poorly recorded for moths.

Thank-you, Mark.
Probably from the Pentlands, as so much closer to us.
And lovely to have a new species in our square.
