I’ve been keeping an eye on a hibernaculum of 35 small tortoiseshells, 9 peacocks and a few Herald moths in a disused bunker near Scone airport. The insects are currently a little frosty but presumably doing fine nevertheless - no apparent movement or disturbance over the winter.
