Thanks Jim, By this time last year we had already seen seven species in East Lothian!
I saw my first butterfly of the year today - a Peacock in a field near Gifford. There didn't appear to be anything for it to feed on anywhere near, but I am sure it would manage to find something before disappearing again out of the frosts!
Weather from north ,blustery chill , so here's a Peacock on a hyacinth in the garden from the 25th Think we may all be relying heavily on our gardens for both butterflies and sanity in the weeks to come. Stay local ,stay safe.
