Finally saw my first ever Large Heaths today after quite a lot of trying. It was fantastic conditions for them this afternoon - warm with plenty of sunshine and not too windy - and there was lots of Cross-leaved Heath in flower, but I still only saw 7-8 individuals in an hour. The site's not far from Carlops - about a mile into Borders.

Also plenty of Ringlets and a few assorted whites seen. And a tantalising glimpse of a fritillary disappearing into the distace - possible SPBF?
