Had a nice few hours in the Hermitage of Braid this lunchtime (17th) with 6 species in attendance. 2 Small Coppers, 1 Red Admiral, 2 Peacocks, 2 Large Whites and several Green-veined Whites and Orange Tips. Sadly no sign of any Comma's.

Lovely to see all the photos here. Have seen a few Orange Tips at the Hermitage of Braid but I didn't manage to get any photos. However, I managed to get this photo of a Comma there on the 9th.

Does anyone know if there are still Holly Blues in Holyrood Park, I have been told by a few people now that there used to be a population but unsure if this is still the case.

Wall Browns seem to be doing amazingly well this year. We are finding them all over the place in East Lothian!

A near circumnavigation of Arthurs seat from the ulster crescent entrance over the hill down to hunters bog, along Queens drive ending up at Duddingston Loch. 1 small heath descending hill then 4 more along Queens drive plus flyby white. Finally 1 orange tip at duddingston loch just before the exit, next to spot where folk were stuffing the poor swans/geese with white bread…. Ps checking photos today realised there was also 1 small copper along Queens drive.
