Good to hear that they have been recorded again. Where abouts at Newhailes are they?

Sorry that I have taken so long to reply.
At the moment they can be seen anywhere around the northern perimeter of
the two large meadows in front of the house. I have now also seen them along the Brunstane Burn and in my garden at Eastfield.
They like Holly or Ivy that's in direct sunlight.
If you have a problem I can meet you as I am in the area most days.

Thanks Bryan,
I went there on Tuesday lunchtime and walked backwards and forwards along the Lady,s Walk. It was sunny, but quite windy and sadly I didn't see any! There was quite a bit of ivy there and I thought that it would catch the sun there. There were very few butterflies of any kind there, so I suspect the wind. It sounds as though there must be quite a good population from what you are saying.
I will try again next week if we get some good weather.
